Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of tausquareacademy.com, our WhatsApp services, our mobile application and the educational programs we offer. You accept them by ticking the box and clicking to continue when you sign up for free content or enrol in a paid program (see Section 15). By using the website or messaging us you also agree to them.

1. Who We Are

Tau Square Academy is a sole proprietorship of Niranjana Jayaraman, registered at 37-116/5, Road Number 3, Neredmet, Secunderabad, Telangana 500056, India (GSTIN 36AFGPJ8624L1Z2; Udyam UDYAM-TS-20-0198855) ("Tau Square Academy", "we", "us", "our"). 2. What We Provide

We provide structured education in medical-research methodology (the 100-Hour Protocol) comprising:

  A phase-based video curriculum, playbooks and learning materials.
• →
  Mentor guidance and doubt-resolution support, as included in the specific program you purchase.
• →
  Free introductory content (such as Phase 0) and a free Research Strategy Call.

The scope, duration and inclusions of each paid program (Foundations, Accelerator, Mastery) are described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

3. Eligibility

  You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to enrol in a paid program.
• →
  You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and enrolling.

4. Your Licence: Single User, Non-Transferable

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the program materials solely for your own individual education. You may not sublicense, resell, lease, share, distribute or publicly display any part of the materials, playbooks or video streams. Group viewing, shared hostel or household access, and any co-use of an individual licence are not permitted and are a material breach of these Terms.

5. Your Account and Sign-in Codes

  You are responsible for keeping your account, sign-in codes and devices secure, and for not disclosing your sign-in codes to anyone.
• →
  Activity carried out through your account (including lessons watched, progress made and sign-ins) will be treated as yours, unless you tell us about suspected unauthorised access as described below.

  If you suspect that someone else has accessed your account, write to support@tausquareacademy.com within 48 hours of becoming aware of it. We will secure the account and investigate. A late report will be taken into account when we assess what happened.

6. Student Code of Conduct

  Your account is for you alone. Sharing your account, sign-in codes or program materials with anyone else is prohibited.
• →
  Your account may be used on no more than two (2) devices, and on only one device at a time. Signing in on another device ends the session on the device already in use. You may change a registered device a limited number of times in any 30-day period.

  We may ask you to confirm a sign-in from a new device or location, or periodically, with a one-time code sent to your registered email address or WhatsApp number.
• →
  You may not record, download, screen-capture, copy, scrape or redistribute lessons or materials. Lessons may carry a personal watermark that identifies your account.
• →
  Your research, Doubt Tokens and submissions must be your own work and follow applicable research-ethics and authorship standards.

7. Security Monitoring

To protect accounts and enforce these Terms, we log and evaluate account security data: device identifiers and device and browser characteristics, IP addresses and the approximate location derived from them, sign-in and session times, concurrent sessions, and how lessons are watched (including progress and playback speed). We use automated systems to detect patterns that indicate account sharing, piracy or other misuse. A person reviews the evidence before any account is permanently blocked. For security reasons we do not disclose how these systems work. Details of the data and how long we keep it are in our Privacy Policy.

8. Suspension and Termination

  Where our security systems indicate that an account may have been shared or misused, we may suspend it and ask you to explain what happened.
• →
  If you tell us honestly that you shared your account, we may restore access once, as a final warning. If your explanation is satisfactory and shows the account was not misused, we will restore access.

  If your explanation is untruthful, or on any repeat breach, we will permanently terminate your access. Fees already paid are not refundable in that case, in line with our Refund Policy.
• →
  Termination does not affect any other rights we have under applicable intellectual-property and other laws.

9. Payments

  Prices are shown in US Dollars (USD). Students in India pay a fixed price in Indian Rupees plus 18% GST (CGST and SGST, or IGST outside Telangana), shown in full before checkout, with UPI, card, net banking or No-Cost EMI options. International students pay in USD by card. All payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card, UPI, or banking details.

  International card payments are charged in USD. If your card is denominated in another currency, your bank or card network applies its own conversion rate.
• →
  Program access is granted after your payment is confirmed. A GST tax invoice is issued for every payment and is available on your dashboard.
• →
  Instalment or EMI options, where offered, are provided through the payment partner and are subject to that partner's terms.
• →
  Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• →
  Immediate access only. Our programs open in full as soon as you pay, and we sell them only on that basis. At checkout, every buyer outside India asks for immediate access and acknowledges that, once access begins, they lose any legal right to cancel for the digital course content, such as the 14-day right in the EU, EEA and UK. Without that request we do not sell or open the program. Mentoring not yet provided can still be cancelled where the law of your country allows it. 10. Intellectual Property

All course materials (videos, frameworks, playbooks, templates, documents and the structure of the curriculum itself) are the intellectual property of Tau Square Academy. Your licence (Section 4) does not transfer any ownership. You may not record, reproduce, share, resell or publicly post any program materials without our written permission.

11. Educational Nature & No Guaranteed Outcomes

We teach research methodology and mentor you through applying it. By enrolling you acknowledge that:

  The methodologies taught are educational frameworks. The research you produce is your own work, carried out under your responsibility.
• →
  Publication acceptance is decided by independent, peer-reviewed journals and conferences. No specific publication, presentation, examination, or career outcome is guaranteed.
• →
  You are responsible for complying with your institution's rules and with applicable research-ethics and authorship standards.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the website, app, or WhatsApp service, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, circumventing device or session limits, scraping content, disrupting the service, sending unlawful or abusive messages, or making fraudulent bookings or payments. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tau Square Academy's total liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the program giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.

14. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Electronic Acceptance and Records

You accept these Terms electronically, by actively ticking a box and clicking to continue when you sign up for free content or enrol in a paid program. Nothing is pre-ticked. Your acceptance is an electronic record and forms a binding agreement under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and equivalent electronic-signature laws elsewhere, such as the EU eIDAS Regulation.

When you accept, we record the version of these Terms and of our Privacy and Refund Policies that you accepted, a fingerprint (cryptographic hash) of their exact text, the statement you agreed to, the date and time, your IP address and your browser. These records are kept in a tamper-evident log. Every version we have published is kept, so the exact text you accepted can always be shown.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each update gets a new version number and date on this page. When we make a material change, we will ask enrolled students to review and accept the new version before continuing to use the academy.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next paragraph, any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, without prejudice to any right you have to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, which this choice of Indian law does not take away, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
